Join the effort to sustain Nuu-chah-nulth culture as an Instructor specializing in Indigenous Language Fluency. Engage students with interactive immersion techniques in a supportive classroom.
As part of the North Island College and Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council's Teacher Training Program, you will deliver foundational language education that nurtures identity and community values. This position emphasizes individual student needs, utilizing diverse teaching strategies for successful language acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging language instruction

• Foster positive, supportive learning environments

• Collaborate with Indigenous leaders and communities

• Evaluate student progress and maintain records

• Cultivate students' personal growth and language skills
Requirements:

• Relevant teaching experience within Indigenous communities

• Proficiency in the Nuu-chah-nulth language

• Bachelor's degree focused on language acquisition preferred

• Knowledge of culturally responsive teaching practices

• Ability to engage with students in varied educational backgrounds
