Position: Teacher for Indigenous Student Achievement

The district is hiring for two 1.0 FTE Continuing positions with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. In this role, you will create welcoming environments for Indigenous students, support their academic journeys, and strengthen community ties. Your work will prioritize cultural promotion and comprehensive student support strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish supportive relationships with Indigenous students

• Monitor and assist with attendance, academic progress, and transitions

• Collaborate with staff to track student development

• Promote Indigenous culture through diverse learning opportunities

• Connect families to career and education planning resources
Requirements:

• Indigenous ancestry is essential

• Demonstrated experience with Indigenous youth

• Deep understanding of Indigenous cultures and challenges

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Familiarity with academic progress tracking
