Empower future educators as an Indigenous Language Instructor for the Nuu‑chah‑nulth and North Island College partnership. Deliver immersive Nuu‑chah‑nulth language instruction and foster community engagement. This instructor role focuses on Nuu‑chah‑nulth immersion, guiding learners through culturally relevant curriculum designed to enhance their language skills and community connection.
Responsibilities   Plan and prepare immersive language learning materials
Communicate effectively with students and provide feedback
Develop culturally relevant teaching methodologies
Support students in achieving their educational goals
Maintain accurate records of student progress
Qualifications   Lived experience with language learning or revitalization
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
Master’s degree in Indigenous education (a plus)
Proficiency in teaching assessment tools
Understanding of Indigenous language revitalization practices
This role requires a commitment to fostering a secure and inclusive educational setting reflective of Indigenous values.
