Position: Nuu-chah-nulth Language Instructor Role
Empower learners as a Nuu-chah-nulth Language Instructor with North Island College. This role focuses on immersive language teaching and community engagement in a supportive setting.

As an Indigenous Language Instructor, you will develop and deliver culturally relevant curriculum for Nuu-chah-nulth language students. You’ll foster student engagement through immersive instruction while maintaining a commitment to Indigenous values in education. Your expertise will directly support effective language revitalization and learner success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan immersive Nuu-chah-nulth language material

• Communicate feedback to students on their progress

• Develop culturally relevant teaching methodologies

• Support students in meeting their educational goals

• Maintain thorough records of student achievements

Requirements:

• Lived experience with language learning or revitalization

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred

• Master’s in Indigenous education is a plus

• Proficiency in teaching assessment tools

• Understanding of Indigenous language practices
