Support educational leaders as an On-Call Library Technician at School District 71. Engage with students and staff while managing library circulation and resources on a flexible schedule.

This on-call role involves temporarily replacing Elementary and Secondary Library Technicians during absences. You will oversee library operations, including checking books in and out, shelving, and providing general supervision. Collaborating with Teacher Librarians, you ensure students have access to appropriate resources while maintaining an engaging library environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage book circulation and maintain library resources

• Shelve books and oversee library usage

• Support Teacher Librarian in collection management

• Assist students in resource selection and locating materials

• Create a welcoming library atmosphere for learning

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent

• Completion of a formal library program diploma

• Current experience in school or public libraries

• Proficiency in library technology and automated systems

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
