Independent Lessons Teacher

Become an Independent Lessons Teacher with Long & McQuade in Courtenay, BC, and share your music expertise. Teach various instruments including piano, guitar, and voice in an engaging environment.

This role allows you to work as an independent contractor at Long & McQuade’s Lesson Centre. Applicants must hold a music degree, have Grade 8 RCM standing, or possess professional equivalency. Experience teaching students of all ages and familiarity with standard teaching methods are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide music lessons on piano, guitar, drums, and more

• Create lesson plans tailored to individual or group needs

• Foster a positive learning environment for all ages

• Implement standard teaching methods and curriculum

• Develop students' skills and confidence in their instrument

Requirements:

• Music degree or diploma from an accredited institution

• Minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments

• Proven teaching experience with diverse age groups

• Knowledge of music teaching methodologies

• Professional equivalency accepted
