Life Labs is looking for a skilled Laboratory Assistant for a part time position that involves work at both Courtenay and Campbell River PSCs. In this role, you will interact with patients, conduct essential testing procedures, and assist in ensuring specimens are ready for analysis. Your flexible schedule will accommodate shifts from Monday to Saturday, allowing you to contribute meaningfully to patient healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and clarify the specimen collection process
• Perform necessary phlebotomies and ECG assessments
• Handle specific test collections and related documentation
• Respond to client inquiries and provide support
• Prepare specimens for effective transportation
Requirements:
• Medical Laboratory Assistant program completion required
• Experience in phlebotomy or healthcare settings valued
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to maintain patient privacy standards
• Team-oriented with independent working capability
