Join Island Health as a Temporary Part-Time MRI Technologist, providing essential imaging services in a patient-focused environment. Ideal candidates will perform MRI special procedures while ensuring quality and safety.
As a critical member of the multidisciplinary health care team, you will operate MRI equipment under general supervision, manage patient monitoring, and ensure all forms and requisitions are completed. A commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care is essential. This role currently offers varying shifts with no travel requirements and is crucial in delivering high-quality imaging in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging special procedures
• Monitor patients and ensure safety protocols
• Manage and operate imaging equipment effectively
• Complete requisitions, forms, and reports timely
• Maintain quality control standards
Requirements:
• Graduation from accredited Magnetic Resonance program
• Certified Technologist in Magnetic Resonance (RTMR)
• Minimum three years related experience, including two years in MRI
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PACS
• Current BCLS certification required
