Full-Time Janitorial Maintenance Role

Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Full-Time Janitorial Maintenance Worker, located in Courtenay, BC. Your efforts will ensure a clean and functional environment for residents with unique needs.

In this permanent position, you will work under the Site Manager while upholding Lookout's mission and ethical standards. Responsibilities span janitorial tasks, along with regular maintenance of building systems like plumbing and electrical functionalities. Compliance with WorkSafeBC health protocols, including respirator fit testing, is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly clean, disinfect, and maintain surfaces

• Remove waste and manage recycling containers

• Monitor building equipment for performance

• Perform repairs and upkeep suites

• Assist in training new staff and supervising volunteers

Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 education and two years of experience

• Preferred Building Service Worker Diploma

• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate

• Strong communication skills and ability to organize effectively

• Clear criminal record for vulnerable sector
