Position: Island Health Environmental Services Position
Support hygiene and safety at Island Health as an Environmental Services Worker. Responsible for diverse cleaning tasks to maintain a safe environment for all staff and patients through specialized equipment.

In this casual position, you’ll execute cleaning duties ranging from light to heavy tasks within Island Health facilities. A Grade 10 education or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. The role emphasizes effective communication and the ability to work well with others in the health care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct various cleaning tasks as scheduled

• Utilize specialized tools for effective cleaning

• Dust, strip, wash, and polish surfaces as required

• Make beds and manage garbage disposal efficiently

• Adhere to health policies and safety standards

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 10 education or similar

• Proficient in verbal and written communication

• Capable of fulfilling physical duties of the role

• Strong ability to deal effectively with staff and patients

• Must pass a Criminal Record Check for patient safety
