Join Lookout Housing and Health Society in Courtenay, BC as a full-time Janitor and Maintenance Worker. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of our facility while helping those in need.
As a full-time Janitor at Lookout, you will report directly to the Site Manager. This role involves performing janitorial tasks, maintaining building systems, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents. You'll play a vital role in supporting a diverse community while working Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sweep, wash, and wax floors daily
• Clean and disinfect all facility surfaces
• Remove garbage and manage recycling containers
• Conduct repairs and upkeep on premises
• Support new staff and oversee volunteers effectively
Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 education and 2 years experience
• Building Service Worker Diploma preferred
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Criminal Record Clearance - Vulnerable Sector
