Position: Island Health Registered Nurse - Perinatal Care
Become a vital member of Island Health as a Registered Nurse focused on perinatal care. This temporary full-time role requires your commitment to delivering direct nursing care for obstetrical patients on a rotational schedule.

As a perinatal nurse, you will work under the Nurse Manager, ensuring adherence to the BC College of Nurses and midwifery standards. Your organizational skills and ability to handle emergencies will enhance patient care quality and safety. Teamwork and effective communication are critical in this position as you collaborate across a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care aligned with obstetrical guidelines

• Ensure patient safety at all times

• Manage emergency situations effectively

• Organize patient care in a multi-site environment

• Engage in patient education and support

Requirements:

• Valid RN registration with BC College of Nurses

• Graduate from a recognized Perinatal Nursing program

• Current CPR certification

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience

• Completion of Breastfeeding Course
