Position: Youth and Family Program Worker Opportunity
Become a vital member of School District 71 as a Youth and Family Program Worker, supporting at-risk youth and their families. This elementary role, based in Comox Valley, focuses on crisis intervention and collaboration.

This 30-hour-per-week position offers a full engagement role within an inclusive learning community. You will provide individual and group support for students, working closely with the School Based Team and community partners. Your expertise in child and adolescent psychology will be crucial in serving diverse students with varied needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to individual students and their families

• Collaborate with teachers and community agency professionals

• Facilitate inclusive practices within schools

• Maintain accurate case documentation and evaluations

• Participate in crisis intervention when necessary

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Child and Youth Care or related field

• Minimum two years of experience with at-risk youth

• Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge in trauma-informed practices
