Position: Indigenous Support Worker for Students

This part-time position of 11.90 hours weekly focuses on enhancing student success at Hornby Island and Denman Island Community Schools. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience, respect for Indigenous cultures, and the ability to advocate effectively for students and their families. Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively to enhance support for Indigenous students

• Act as a role model promoting Indigenous traditions

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education plus 30 credits in Indigenous studies

• Three years of experience in Indigenous support services

• Valid Class 5 B.C. driver's license mandatory

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to meet physical demands of the role
