Program Worker At-Risk Youth

Position: Program Worker for At-Risk Youth
Support and inspire youth in School District 71 as a Program Worker focusing on at-risk families in Comox Valley. This 30-hour per week role centers on collaboration and intervention strategies.

As part of a dedicated team, you will provide essential support to students in crisis, working closely with educators and community partners.

Your role will encompass both individual and group interventions while maintaining confidentiality and respect. You will leverage your expertise in family dynamics and behavioral theories to foster an atmosphere of inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group support to students in need

• Collaborate effectively with school staff and community agencies

• Maintain up-to-date case documentation and evaluations

• Engage in proactive crisis intervention measures

• Promote inclusion within educational programs

Requirements:

• Degree in Child and Youth Care or equivalent

• Minimum two years of experience with at-risk youth

• Class 5 B.C. driver’s license required

• Strong skills in consultation and collaboration

• Knowledge in trauma-informed care
