Billing Manager​/Supervisor

Billing Supervisor/Manager | Coventry | Up to £50,000 + Bonus | Hybrid Working

Alexander Daniels Finance recruitment is proud to be recruiting for a Billing Supervisor/Manager to join a well-established, large-scale organisation based in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced billing or accounts receivable professional to step into a genuine leadership role, overseeing a high-volume billing function and a team of 6+.

Reporting into the Finance Controller, you’ll take ownership of the accurate and timely distribution of a high volume of invoices every month, ensuring customer accounts remain accurate and audit-ready throughout.

• Overseeing the daily billing cycle end to end, validating billing data against contracts, service delivery records, and approved pricing, and resolving discrepancies before invoices are released
• Leading, coaching, and performance managing the billing team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Identifying process inefficiencies and leading system and SOP improvements, working closely with IT and the wider Finance team
• Acting as the main point of escalation for complex billing queries, and building trusted relationships with key customers and stakeholders
• Supporting audits and VAT/tax compliance, and producing ad-hoc reporting such as billing performance and aged debt analysis
• Reviewing and approving credit notes, billing adjustments, and write-offs within delegated authority

• Salary up to £50,000, plus a very achievable bonus scheme
• Hybrid working: 2/3 days in the office, with extremely flexible working hours
• Permanent position with genuine scope to shape process and drive efficiency
• Exposure across Finance and Commercial teams, with real ownership of a large-scale billing function

• 3-5 years’ experience in billing
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader capacity is preferred
• Strong understanding of financial controls, VAT, and audit processes
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems, Business Central experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
