Assistant Management Accountant

Alexander Daniels are delighted to be supporting a client in the search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This position plays a key role in supporting the finance team, contributing to the production of reliable financial reports and helping maintain efficient and compliant accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies Calculate and post accruals and prepayments Analyse gross margins and overhead costs, highlighting variances where appropriate Maintain and update the fixed asset register Support cash flow management, including cash forecasting activities Complete bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash movements Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements Prepare monthly service fee calculations and raise associated invoices Process supplier payments via online banking platforms Handle accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliations Assist with the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors where required Qualifications ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified AAT qualification (or working towards) Personal Attributes Highly organised with strong attention to detail Proactive and self-motivated approach to work Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business Adaptable and flexible in response to changing priorities
