Credit Controller

SF Partners are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a close-knit finance team. Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, you'll take ownership of your own customer ledger, building relationships, resolving queries and keeping overdue debt to a minimum.

This would suit someone who enjoys getting on the phone, investigating account queries and working closely with customers and sales teams to get payments in.

• Chasing outstanding payments by phone and email.
• Managing customer accounts within agreed credit terms and limits.
• Setting up new accounts and carrying out credit checks.
• Reconciling accounts and resolving queries that delay payment.
• Working with the sales team to manage credit risk and overdue balances.
• Taking ownership of your collection targets and aged debt.

• Previous credit control experience would be advantageous, ideally within an SME or similar environment.
• A confident, friendly telephone manner and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to chasing payments.
• Confidence using Excel.
• The initiative to investigate queries and see them through to resolution.
