Senior Dealership Accountant

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable main dealer based in Coventry, for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accurate reporting and fostering continuous process improvements. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a background in automotive or dealership accounting, seeking to contribute to a dynamic team within a respected organisation.

• Salary of £45,000 - £57,000 per annum

• Oversee daily accounting operations and lead the accounts team
• Manage month-end, year-end, and financial reporting activities
• Prepare and analyse management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Ensure accurate reconciliations, journals, and adherence to accounting controls
• Handle intercompany reconciliations and statutory returns
• Support dealerships and Head Office with financial reporting and queries
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Identify opportunities to optimise accounting processes and controls

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or equivalent
• Between 3 and 6 years' post-qualification experience
• Strong experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Automotive or dealership accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge of Autoline DMS beneficial
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
