Overview
Christadelphian Care Homes exists mainly, although not exclusively, to care for members of the Christadelphian Faith. We operate a number of Care Homes and Sheltered Housing schemes throughout the UK and are able to deliver care tailored to individual needs from low support through to residential, nursing and specialised care, including dementia and end of life care. We are looking for a highly organised, compassionate, and proactive Admin Apprentice to join our team at Eden House in Coventry. In this role, you will support the day-to-day administrative functions of the organisation while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in administration within a care and charitable environment, supporting staff, residents and organisational processes.
Responsibilities- Provide general administrative support to the office and wider team.
- Answer telephone calls, take messages, and respond to basic enquiries professionally.
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and emails.
- Maintain accurate paper and electronic filing systems.
- Input and update data on internal systems (e.g. HR, finance, or care-related systems).
- Assist with maintaining confidential records in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
- Support document preparation, including letters, reports, and spreadsheets.
- Assist with diary management, meeting arrangements, and minute-taking when required.
- Support ordering of office supplies and stock monitoring.
- Liaise with colleagues across departments to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Complete all apprenticeship coursework, assessments, and off-the-job training.
- Work closely with a supervisor and training provider to develop administrative skills.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop professional workplace behaviours.
- A willingness to learn and develop administrative skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Word, Outlook etc).
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- A positive, reliable, and professional attitude.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- An interest in administration or office-based work.
- A structured apprenticeship with on-the-job training.
- Support from experienced colleagues and a dedicated mentor.
- The opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
