The Role
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Business Unit Administrator to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of our Business Unit. This is a varied role covering general administration, HR admin, support and team coordination. It’s ideal for a confident self‑starter who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in organisation and variety in their work.
We welcome applications from candidates looking for full‑time, part‑time or flexible working hours. The role is based in Coventry and requires you to be in the office most days as we need you to feel part of the team and our culture.
What You’ll Be Doing General Office Administration- Provide daily administrative support to the General Manager and team.
- Manage meeting room calendars and ensure rooms are prepared for meetings.
- Monitor and order office stationery and supplies.
- Schedule meetings, appointments and travel for the BU General Manager.
- Maintain organised physical and digital filing systems.
- Support the planning of team events, meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with BU and company policy and process compliance.
- Work with the recruitment team and hiring managers to arrange interviews.
- Administer the eLearning platform, assign training and produce reports.
- Maintain employee files and HR documentation (with support from the HR Business Partner).
- Support onboarding for new starters.
- Provide cross‑team support during busy periods.
- Ensure compliance with IBMS and local operational procedures.
- Level 2 Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Highly organised, able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Approachable and confident dealing with colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong IT skills (especially Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Able to handle confidential information professionally – HR experience is a plus.
- A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
- Proactive in suggesting improvements to processes and ways of working.
