We are seeking to appoint an organised, IT literate, customer-focused forward‑thinking Technical Services Co‑ordinator to provide comprehensive technical administrative support to the School of Life Sciences, with the support of the Technical Admin Assistant.
The successful applicant will focus on providing and developing administrative provision to support academics and the Technical Services Team in relation to laboratory activities, with a particular focus on ensuring good health and safety and statutory compliance in our lab environments as well as supporting with efficiency.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an environment that wishes to be at the forefront in enhancing compliance through simplifying, streamlining and improving administrative processes. There will be a particular focus on the use of Power Automate in SharePoint to bring about these enhanced processes.
You will have a penchant to ‘own’ new concepts, processes and systems to shape how we operate more effectively.

This is a newly revised and enhanced role and a wonderful opportunity to gain some really valuable experience in a friendly and supportive team, to build positive relationships, prioritise initiatives and to put your strong IT skills to the test.
Every day will be different and we will play to your strengths. We are a small admin team, so the role will entail being ‘hands‑on’ and supporting with other admin and customer‑facing tasks within the SLS School Support Team.

The School of Life Sciences (SLS) is a cohesive, enthusiastic community that works together in an open, welcoming, inclusive and highly collaborative environment.
