We are seeking an experienced Change Manager to help identify, shape and deliver the changes required to achieve the Council’s priorities. This role is central to ensuring that transformation activity translates into meaningful, measurable benefits for residents, communities and the organisation.
A key emphasis of the role is supporting people through change and embedding a culture where the customer is at the heart of everything we do. You will work closely with services to ensure that change initiatives are well‑designed, effectively implemented and, critically, deliver the intended benefits.
Responsibilities- Define, track and create plans to realise benefits arising from change and transformation activities.
- Translate change programme priorities into clear, measurable outcomes.
- Use data and insight to inform decision making, evidence impact, and support continuous improvement.
- Ensure benefits are sustained beyond implementation and embedded into business‑as‑usual ways of working.
- Support all stages of the change journey from early discovery and design through to implementation and post‑delivery review.
- Strong people focus with excellent engagement skills.
- Practical approach to change that complements our highly motivated transformation team.
- Personal resilience, adaptability, and confidence to work flexibly across a diverse and complex organisation.
- Experience in defining and tracking benefits, translating priorities, and using data to drive improvement.
