The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site position based at the Coventry branch, supporting the day-to-day operations of the electrical wholesale business. Responsibilities include overseeing stock levels, coordinating order processing, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer requirements. The role involves supervising and supporting team members, maintaining high standards of customer service, and assisting with sales activities, quotations, and product guidance.
The Assistant Manager will also help implement company policies, contribute to process improvements, and collaborate with senior management on branch performance targets and reporting.
- Strong organizational and operational skills, including inventory management, order coordination, and attention to detail.
- Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, handle inquiries, and resolve issues professionally.
- Basic sales and commercial awareness, including supporting quotations, identifying customer needs, and promoting suitable products.
- Team leadership capabilities, such as supervising staff, supporting training, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Familiarity with electrical or lighting products, particularly energy-saving solutions and LED technologies, is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in common office and business software, including email, spreadsheets, and stock or order management systems.
- Previous experience in wholesale, retail, or branch operations management is preferred.
- Relevant vocational or academic qualifications in business, management, or a related field are advantageous.
