Monday 3rd August – Friday 7th August Rate: £270 per day (CIS Umbrella) An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to provide holiday cover on a high-quality residential development in Bridgwater. Our client is one of the UK's most respected privately-owned house builders, renowned for delivering thoughtfully designed communities that combine traditional architecture with modern living. With a long-standing reputation for quality, customer satisfaction and sustainable development, they continue to invest in creating desirable neighbourhoods across England and Wales.

The development consists of a large, multi-phase scheme delivering a mix of two, three and four-bedroom traditionally built homes, together with associated infrastructure, landscaping and public open spaces. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to the high standards expected by the client. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day site activities during the holiday cover period.

Coordinate subcontractors and monitor programme progress. Maintain the highest standards of health and safety. Carry out site inspections and quality checks. Ensure work is completed in line with programme and specification. Liaise with the project team to provide a seamless handover before and after the cover period. Maintain accurate site records and documentation. Requirements Proven experience managing volume house building developments.

Valid SMSTS , CSCS and First Aid at Work certificates. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to take ownership of an active site with minimal supervision. Immediate availability for the full duration of the assignment.
