Contracts Manager – Facilities Management
Location:
Coventry, with travel across the Midlands and UK
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus car allowance

Permanent, full-time
An established and growing facilities management business is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a varied portfolio of commercial maintenance, refurbishment and property-improvement projects. You will take ownership of multiple live contracts from initial instruction through to completion, coordinating labour, subcontractors, materials, schedules and client requirements. This is a hands‑on role within a fast‑paced SME, requiring someone who can make confident decisions, resolve problems quickly and keep projects moving when priorities change.
Key Responsibilities- Managing multiple FM, maintenance and refurbishment projects from start to finish
- Planning schedules, labour, subcontractors, materials and equipment
- Monitoring progress through regular site visits
- Identifying risks, delays and resource issues, taking prompt corrective action
- Reallocating labour and reprioritising workloads when required
- Managing clients, project updates, variations, costs and budgets
- Ensuring compliance with RAMS, health and safety and company procedures
- Working closely with operational, administration and coordination teams
- You will have previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Project Manager within facilities management, commercial maintenance, refurbishment, building services or construction.
- Experience managing several live projects or sites
- Strong scheduling, organisation and resource‑planning skills
- Confident decision‑making and practical problem‑solving ability
- Experience managing direct labour, subcontractors and suppliers
- Good commercial awareness
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of RAMS and site health and safety
- A full UK driving licence
- £40,000–£45,000 per annum
