Arcona Group are representing a Regional Construction Company who are seeking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Trainee / Assistant Site Manager to join a growing construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in site management and gain hands-on experience delivering construction projects from start to finish.
Working alongside experienced Site Managers and Project Managers, you will assist with the day-to-day management of construction activities, helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the daily management of site operations.
* Support Site Managers with planning and coordinating labour, materials and subcontractors.
* Monitor site progress and help ensure programme milestones are achieved.
* Carry out site inspections and quality checks.
* Assist in maintaining health and safety standards on site.
* Support site inductions and toolbox talks.
* Help manage project documentation, site records and reports.
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and clients as required.
* Report any issues, delays or quality concerns to the Site Manager.
* Assist with project handover and completion processes.
Requirements
* Minimum 6 months' experience within the construction industry is essential as a Trainee Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Assistant Site Manager
* A genuine interest in developing a career in site management.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work well within a team and take initiative when required.
* Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
* Understanding of health and safety procedures within a construction environment.
* Relevant construction qualifications such as a Bachelors Degree, Level 3 Construction qualification, HNC, HND, NVQ, or degree (or currently working towards one).
* CSCS Card.
* SMSTS / SSSTS
* First aid at work
