Senior Quantity Surveyor - Highways & Civils
 
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways and civil engineering project in Coventry.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in highways, civils and major infrastructure projects.

The Role
You will be responsible for the commercial management of significant civils packages, overseeing approximately £20m of works over the next 18 months as part of a wider £150m-£200m infrastructure project.

You will play a key role in managing commercial performance, subcontractors and contractual obligations, working closely with the wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

· Commercial management of major highways and civils packages

· Managing and administering NEC contracts

· Subcontract management and commercial reporting

· Cost control, forecasting and change management

· Managing valuations, applications and final accounts

· Supporting the successful commercial delivery of civils packages

· Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities

· Working closely with project teams and key stakeholders
 
Key Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:

· Proven Quantity Surveying experience within highways

· Strong civil engineering / infrastructure background

· Experience working under NEC contracts

· Strong subcontract management experience

· Experience managing significant civils packages

· Strong commercial and cost management skills

· Experience working on major infrastructure projects

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
