Senior Quantity Surveyor - Highways & Civils

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major highways and civil engineering project in Coventry.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in highways, civils and major infrastructure projects.

You will be responsible for the commercial management of significant civils packages, overseeing approximately £20m of works over the next 18 months as part of a wider £150m-£200m infrastructure project.

You will play a key role in managing commercial performance, subcontractors and contractual obligations, working closely with the wider project team.

• Commercial management of major highways and civils packages
• Managing and administering NEC contracts
• Subcontract management and commercial reporting
• Cost control, forecasting and change management
• Managing valuations, applications and final accounts
• Supporting the successful commercial delivery of civils packages
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with project teams and key stakeholders

We are looking for candidates with:

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within highways
• Strong civil engineering / infrastructure background
• Experience working under NEC contracts
• Strong subcontract management experience
• Experience managing significant civils packages
• Strong commercial and cost management skills
• Experience working on major infrastructure projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
