The Role Senior CAD role leading design delivery and managing the CAD team. Chair internal draughtsperson meetings Chair joinery DTM meetings with architects and clients Support and manage internal and subcontract draughtspersons Ensure drawings and models are delivered on time and to EES standards Check and approve all project drawings before issue Oversee the design process and report progress to the Design Manager Maintain documentation including drawing trackers and RFIs Coordinate joinery interfaces with subcontractors Manage CAD team productivity against programme targets Ensure document control processes are followed Produce drawings or models depending on project size Manage day-to-day design changes and variations Additional Responsibilities Work with internal teams and site teams to ensure coordinated delivery Oversee subcontractor design packages and technical coordination Monitor cost sheets, design time, and productivity Identify risks and ensure design changes are updated in project plans Ensure compliance with fire door regulations, CDM/CDP, and health and safety Support pre-construction activities including programme and materials

Minimum Requirements Proven experience as a CAD Technician, Joinery Draughtsperson, or similar role within the joinery, fit-out, or interior construction industry Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Experience producing manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery/interiors Good understanding of joinery manufacturing methods, materials, and production processes Previous experience stepping into or supporting a lead/senior CAD function Experience mentoring or supporting junior draughtspersons/CAD team members
