We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Hepatologist as part of departmental expansion and continued development of specialised services. This post is part of a number of new posts for the department and represents an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team practicing from a state‑of‑the‑art University hospital.
Main duties of the jobThe post attracts a standard 10PA job plan, comprising 7.5 direct clinical care programmed activities, 1.5 basic SPAs, with a further 1.0 PA to be allocated either as SPA or DCC after appointment following discussion with the Clinical Lead, Group Manager, and appointee. All new Consultant appointments will have 2.5 protected SPA's for the first 12‑months to support personal and professional development alongside mentoring.
Thereafter, core SPA allowance will reduce to 1.5 SPA's, with additional SPA allowance available for award for defined SPA activities (such as educational supervision/ teaching/ rota coordination/ funded research etc) through standard job planning process.
