Are you passionate about empowering young people with additional needs to unlock their full potential? Long Term Futures is thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join a leading specialist college supporting students aged 16-25 with complex needs including Autism, physical disabilities, and multiple learning difficulties.
This role is central to fostering a truly inclusive and supportive environment where students are encouraged to grow in confidence, independence, and academic achievement. If you're proactive, patient, and driven to make a meaningful difference every day, we want to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support, enabling students to fully engage with their learning
Promoting independence both in the classroom and across college life
Supporting differentiated and inclusive learning activities that inspire and motivate
Assisting students' emotional, social, and communication development to build life skills
Collaborating closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create a seamless educational experience
Who You Are:
Experienced or enthusiastic about supporting young people with SEN, ideally in a post-16 setting (experience is a plus, but not essential)
Patient, compassionate, and committed to nurturing student growth
Confident communicator with excellent behaviour management skills
Passionate about fostering student independence and personal development
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is welcomed but not required - mindset and dedication come first!
