Riverbank Academy currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join the team, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.
** Job overview
** You’ll be responsible for providing structured support and guidance in the development of our students' academic and individual needs, providing in-class support to our teachers and delivery practitioners, also assisting with the tutorial program as a co-tutor.
** Job requirements
*** A minimum of 2 GCSEs or equivalent at C (4/5) grade or above, including English and Maths
* Qualification to A level (AS/level) standard. desirable
* Ability to support students aged from 11-19 in moving and handling and personal care
* Experience working with groups of young people with complex SEND, preferably of secondary age
* Experience of leading lessons within a community, mainstream or special school context
* Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
