About the Team

Coventry Alternative Provision Academy, part of the Solihull Alternative Provision Multi‑Academy Trust (SAPMAT), offers a nurturing, restorative, sustainable, SEND‑friendly alternative provision. The academy focuses on creating a nurturing and restorative environment for students with diverse needs, striving to make a positive impact on a child’s whole development. What the Role Involves

As an Inclusion Coach you will support students’ well‑being and social‑emotional learning in a trauma‑informed environment. The role emphasises restorative practice, building relationships, and resolving conflict constructively. You will also work within a SEND‑friendly curriculum, tailoring lessons to individual student needs and encouraging active learning through play‑based and child‑centred approaches. Professional development and staff well‑being are priorities – small class sizes allow for more focused support and opportunities to grow your career within the trust.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a clear, consistent and relational approach to working with high‑tariff and vulnerable students.
  • Champion pupil progress, raising standards in behaviour, attendance and academic progress.
  • Implement restorative practice, building relationships and resolving conflict constructively.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of SEND students, using inclusive teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with the academy leadership team to promote environmental awareness and action.

  • A passion for pupil progress and a vision for obtaining the best outcomes for our students.
  • High expectations and skill in raising standards (behaviour, attendance, academic progress).
  • A clear, consistent relational approach to working with high‑tariff and vulnerable students.
  • Experience working in an innovative classroom environment is welcomed.
