Job Role

We are currently looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and inspirational part‑time SEN Teacher who brings a "can do" attitude and a strong desire to work with children with complex learning needs. The successful candidate will ideally begin with us in 2026, working a Monday to Friday pattern. Your role will support the school’s growth and help shape its future.

Experience

& Skills Required
  • Experience working with special needs children, particularly those with Autism.
  • Understanding of Early Years principles.
  • Teaching experience with children with complex needs, including ASD, sensory difficulties, and potentially PMLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the importance of safeguarding children.

  • Have knowledge of current educational developments for pupils with special educational needs, including Autism.
  • Be experienced in planning, assessment, recording, and reporting for pupils with a broad spectrum of needs.
  • Work in partnership with outside agencies to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Apply effective behaviour management strategies to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Possess knowledge and practical experience of effective assessment and target-setting for pupils with learning difficulties.
  • Hold current training in Team Teach, positive handling, or safer handling skills.
