About The Role
Associate or Assistant Professor (Teaching Focused) ). This is a full-time permanent job based in the School of Engineering.
We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (Teaching-focused) in the field of Embedded System Design, Digital Systems and FPGAs. You will teach existing and new modules of the highest quality within Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in areas such as:
- Digital Systems Design
- High Performance Embedded Systems Design
- Computer Architecture and Systems
You will engage with higher education pedagogy and be willing to develop novel teaching methods, embracing changes in teaching technology and expectations.
Flexible Working- We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis (e.g., job share), despite the position being advertised as full-time.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science. You will have sufficient breadth and depth of specialist knowledge (through previous research or industrial experience) in Electrical/Electronic engineering to develop teaching, learning and assessments, particularly in digital systems, embedded systems design and FPGAs.
For Associate Professor (Teaching Focused): an in-depth understanding of your specialism to enable development of new knowledge and understanding within the field.
