An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Coventry
. This role would suit either an ECT English Teacher seeking a strong induction and mentoring programme, or an experienced English Teacher looking to join a department with high expectations, clear structure, and a shared commitment to literacy and progress.

As an English Teacher
, you will be part of a collaborative department focused on developing confident readers, writers, and communicators. The English team works closely to ensure consistent approaches to curriculum delivery and assessment across all key stages.

• Deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
• Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and curriculum development
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom routines
• Support pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
• Strong subject knowledge in English
• Ability to teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
• A reflective and collaborative approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
