, to appoint a confident and proactive Behaviour Mentor for a January 2026 start

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll support students to engage positively in lessons, make good behaviour choices and overcome barriers to learning. The role suits someone with experience in pastoral
, youth work,
teaching assistant
, learning mentor
, or sport
-based mentoring settings, and is also ideal for a motivated graduate looking to build a career in education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support across KS3 and KS4
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff
  • Encourage positive engagement and motivate students in lessons
  • Work alongside teachers to apply consistent behaviour strategies
  • Support pupils' emotional, social and academic development
  • Respond calmly and professionally to behavioural challenges
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a school
    , youth work, mentoring, or education-based setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a resilient, calm approach
  • Ability to work flexibly across classes, year groups and pastoral needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive role model who encourages confidence and engagement
  • Relevant qualifications in behaviour support or education are beneficial but not essential
