Music Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Music Teacher to join a small provision in Coventry. You will be required to deliver high-quality music education to children with complex needs, including mental health challenges and behaviours that may be challenging s role requires patience, creativity, and the ability to engage students in a supportive and structured way.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging music lessons tailored to the needs of each student.

* Support students with mental health needs and manage challenging behaviour effectively and sensitively.

* Use music as a tool to promote emotional regulation, social skills, and self-expression.

* Work collaboratively with the wider staff team to support holistic student development.

* Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching approaches as required.

* Contribute to the development of school performances, workshops, and events.

Person Specification:

* Qualified teacher status (QTS) is preferred but not essential

* A qualification specific to music or music teaching is required

* Experience teaching music to children with additional needs, particularly those with mental health challenges or challenging behaviours.

* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Creative, flexible, and resourceful approach to teaching.
