If you enjoy helping children feel grounded and ready to learn, this role could be for you. You’ll work with a Year 2 pupil who benefits from predictable routines, gentle reassurance, and activities that match their developmental stage.

• Provide 1: 1 support throughout the school day.
• Use visuals, task breaks, and pace changes to maintain focus.
• Support curriculum work at an early years developmental level.
• Help with sensory regulation and calm transitions.
• Work closely with the teacher and SENCO to adapt strategies.
• Build engagement through interests like Numberblocks or tablet based learning.

• Experience supporting children with SEN (ideally school based)
• Understanding of sensory needs and how to scaffold tasks.
• Confidence supporting a child who may avoid support.
• A calm, patient approach when things feel challenging.
• Full time availability from as soon as possible.

• A long term, consistent placement.
• Clear routines and helpful SEN leadership.
• Ongoing support from your consultant.
