SEN Teaching Assistant

Long-Term SEN Roles | Coventry & Surrounding Areas

Some pupils don’t need another new face.
They need someone who stays.

At Sprint, we work exclusively with SEN roles. That single focus is why schools come to us when consistency really matters, not just cover. We partner with mainstream primary schools, mainstream secondary schools, and specialist SEN settings across Coventry and nearby areas to place Teaching Assistants who want to commit long-term and make a difference over time.

These roles are designed for Teaching Assistants who value routine, relationships, and progress you can actually see, not short-term supply.

About the roles

We’re recruiting Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term and permanent SEN roles across Coventry. Placements may be within:

* Mainstream primary schools with SEN provision

* Mainstream secondary schools supporting pupils with additional needs

* Specialist SEN schools and alternative provisions

You may be supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, depending on the setting and needs.

Typical responsibilities include:

* Supporting pupils with additional needs throughout the school day

* Helping pupils stay regulated, engaged, and ready to learn

* Following guidance from teachers and SENCOs to meet individual needs

* Supporting routines, transitions, and positive behaviour approaches

* Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils over time

* Providing a calm, consistent adult presence in a Coventry-area setting

Who these roles suit

These roles are a good fit if you:

* Have at least 6 months of recent classroom-based experience in a mainstream or SEN setting
   or

* Are a Psychology or SEN-related graduate or with hands-on school or support experience

* Have confidence supporting pupils with needs such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH

* Are available Monday to Friday for full-time work

* Want long-term or permanent placements, not day-to-day supply

* Bring a calm, patient, reflective approach to your work

* Are reliable, professional, and committed to consistency

What’s on offer

* Full-time, long-term or permanent SEN roles across Coventry and surrounding areas

* Placements where routines are established and relationships matter

* The opportunity to see real progress over time

* Ongoing support from a team that works only within SEN

* Experience that supports progression into teaching, therapy, or specialist SEN pathways

Why Sprint?

We’re very clear about what we do.

If you’re looking to work only as a general classroom support, we’re probably not the right agency.

If you’re committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and want a role where stability, relationships, and impact matter, that’s exactly what we do so we'd love to hear from you.

Next steps

If you’re ready for a long-term SEN role where your consistency genuinely matters, we’d love to hear from you.
