Family & Wellbeing Team Specialist - Attendance and Behaviour
This role supports pupil wellbeing, behaviour management and attendance, working closely with children, families and staff to remove barriers to learning and promote positive mental health outcomes.

SALARY:
Grade 5 £ 28,884 to £34,792 FTE / £25,064 to £30,191 Pro Rata Salary + Benefits

37 Hours per Week, 39 Weeks per Annum
8.00am – 3.45pm Monday, Thursday and Friday
8.00am – 5.00pm Tuesday
8.30am – 3.45pm Wednesday
JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Family & Wellbeing Team Specialist - Attendance and Behaviour to play a key role in supporting pupils to fully engage in education and school life.
As a Family & Wellbeing Team Specialist - Attendance and Behaviour you will work directly with pupils on an individual and small group basis, helping them understand emotions, develop positive behaviours and improve attendance. You will also collaborate closely with staff, parents and external agencies to address barriers to learning.
The Family & Wellbeing Team Specialist - Attendance and Behaviour will contribute to whole-school strategies around wellbeing, behaviour and safeguarding, ensuring pupils feel supported, safe and able to achieve their potential.
DUTIES- Pupil Support:
Delivering individual and group interventions to support wellbeing, behaviour and attendance - Behaviour Monitoring:
Developing and maintaining systems to track pupil behaviour and progress - Attendance Strategy:
Leading and supporting attendance improvement initiatives across the school - Family Engagement:
Building positive relationships with parents and carers to encourage involvement and engagement - Multi-Agency Working:
Liaising with external professionals and services to provide holistic support - Safeguarding:
Identifying and reporting safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance - Transitions:
Supporting pupils during school transitions and reintegration - Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of interventions and meetings
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or equivalent
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with wellbeing or behaviour needs
- Strong communication skills with pupils, families and professionals
- Ability to work proactively and as part of a collaborative team
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
- Qualification relevant to wellbeing, pastoral or family support
- Experience working within a school or educational setting
- Experience of attendance improvement or behaviour intervention programmes
- Knowledge of early help or multi-agency working
