Job Overview Do you want to specialise in supporting students with additional needs? We are seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND Practitioner to provide targeted support and ensure all students can access the curriculum successfully.

Start Date: February 2026 (approx.)
Contract Type: Temporary / Maternity Cover – flexible duration
Working Pattern: Full-time

We are looking for a patient, confident, and empathetic SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND Practitioner who can support students with a range of additional learning needs, including SEND, SEMH challenges, and communication barriers. Experience in or willingness to complete Trauma‑Informed Practice training is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one‑to‑one or small group support for students with SEND
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or EHCPs
- Adapt learning resources to suit a variety of abilities
- Monitor progress and contribute to assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and families to support learning
- Promote independence, confidence, and engagement in the classroom
