Early Years Practitioner (Preschool) We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, motivated and creative Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive primary school team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate practitioner who understands the importance of high‑quality early childhood education and is eager to help our youngest learners develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning from the very start of their school journey.
The successful candidate will initially work within our Preschool, supporting children in their learning and development through a play‑based, child‑centred approach. You will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
RequirementsApplicants must hold an Early Years qualification and have recent, up‑to‑date experience working with young children.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging Early Years activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Observing, assessing and recording children’s progress
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children’s wellbeing
- Supporting children with their learning in the classroom, in small group sessions, intervention sessions and 1:1 where appropriate
- Working closely with teachers, parents/carers and other staff to support children’s development
- Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
- A positive, caring and creative atmosphere
- An excellent working environment and committed staff team
