Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (41.6 weeks)
Are you an experienced, confident and compassionate practitioner who thrives on helping children succeed? Pattison School is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to play a key role in supporting pupils, staff and the wider school community. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
About the Role- Use tailored strategies to help the pupil with emotional regulation, communication, focus and social interaction.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO and wider staff to deliver approaches outlined in the EHCP and other support plans.

- Deliver 1:1 and small group intervention sessions, supporting pupil's academic social and emotional development.
- Cover lessons when required, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining calm, purposeful classroom environment.
- Provide general day-to-day support across the school including classroom assistant, behaviour support and supervision during breaks and transitions.
- Contribute to a structured, positive and engaging learning environment where every child feels safe, supported and able to thrive.
- Experience working with children across different ages and needs, ideally including SEND.
- Confidence in leading learning, delivering interventions, and covering lessons when required.
- A calm, consistent and empathetic approach, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, flexible attitude to working as part of a collaborative team.
- HLTA status or equivalent experience is desirable, though training and development will be supported.
