About the Role

The School of Creative Arts, Performance and Visual Cultures (SCAPVC) seeks to appoint two part‑time Teaching Fellows to work within the Warwick Writing Programme to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in creative writing.

The appointees will join from 1st September 2026 on fixed‑term (24 month) contracts. The posts are 0.5 FTE, working 18.25 hours per week.

Our programme has a national and international reputation for research and teaching excellence, focusing on contemporary and experimental narratives including fiction, poetry, screenwriting, literary translation and spoken word, and fostering strong industry links.

About You
  • One Teaching Fellow (0.5 FTE) with expertise in poetry and additional expertise in at least one other genre, which may include fiction.
  • One Teaching Fellow (0.5 FTE) with expertise in fiction and additional expertise in at least one other genre, which may include screenwriting.

Candidates should specify in their application which of the two roles they wish to be considered for.

The appointees will have experience of teaching creative writing and a PhD or a significant publication record.
