Grace Academy Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and well‑organised Cover Supervisor/Professional Assistant to provide high‑quality supervision of students during lessons when a staff member is absent, on a term‑time only basis. The role will support smooth classroom operations, assist students with set activities, and maintain safety and behaviour standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise cover lessons and register attendance for absent teachers.
  • Provide a safe and controlled environment for students to complete assigned work.
  • Collect work set by the Head of Department or sent in by the absent teacher and use it when supervising a class.
  • Manage student behaviour using the Academy’s Behaviour for Learning procedure as necessary.
  • Collect completed work from lessons and deliver it to the Head of Department or other subject teacher.
  • Be attached to one or two faculties, supporting individuals, groups of students, or teachers.
