Early Years Trainer – Coventry

This face‑to‑face training role delivers Early Years apprenticeship programmes across levels 2 to 5, providing structured classroom and workplace training to support apprentices in nursery settings. The role offers a 37‑hour work week (Monday to Friday) or a 3‑day per week option for those unable to work full time, with travel to learner sites throughout Coventry and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Early Years apprenticeship training across levels 2 to 5 in classroom and workplace settings.
  • Plan and deliver structured schemes of work, lesson plans, and learning resources.
  • Conduct face‑to‑face training sessions for apprentice groups, typically 3 days per week in the workplace followed by 2 days a week of administration.
  • Support learners to develop occupational skills, knowledge and behaviours.
  • Monitor apprentice progress and provide regular feedback and tutorials.
  • Liaise with employers to support workplace development and progress.
  • Embed Maths, English and professional behaviours into delivery.
  • Assess learner work and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate tracking, records and progress reports.
  • Use digital learning platforms and online tools to support delivery.
  • Review and evaluate learner progress against apprenticeship standards.
  • Motivate and support apprentices to achieve timely completion.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in early years care and practice.
  • Experience delivering vocational training, teaching or assessing learners at level 3.
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners in a face‑to‑face environment.
  • Strong organisation, planning and communication skills.
  • Full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Any teaching qualification or assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Early Years apprenticeship standards.
