Computer Science Teacher

About the role:

Justteachers Supply Agency are looking to appoint an innovative and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position at a partner secondary school in Coventry, starting in September 2026. The role is expected to continue through to the end of the academic year, with scope for a permanent opportunity.

Situated in Coventry, the school holds a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and educates students at secondary level. It prides itself on a supportive leadership team and a progressive approach to teaching and learning, particularly within its technology departments.

• Delivering engaging Computer Science lessons, including topics such as programming, algorithms, and data representation
• Inspiring students to develop problem-solving skills and an interest in digital technology
• Planning lessons in line with the curriculum and adapting materials to meet a range of abilities
• Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
• Maintaining a focused and positive classroom environment, ensuring effective behaviour management

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level, ideally up to GCSE
• Strong subject knowledge, including programming concepts and computational thinking
• Effective classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students in a technical subject
• Two professional references, preferably from an educational setting
