Lead the Way in Employment Innovation – Join Our New Team in Coventry

Coventry City Council is building a new, ambitious team within our Skills, Employment & Adult Education (SEAE) service – and we’re looking for experienced, driven professionals to help shape it.

As an Employment Adviser you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting residents into sustainable employment, while working closely with employers to create meaningful opportunities. This is your chance to be part of a strategic, employer-facing role that blends frontline support with partnership development.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage a caseload of clients, guiding them from initial engagement through to sustained employment.
  • Deliver tailored advice, job search support, and employability training – both 1:1 and in group settings.
  • Work intensively with employers and the Employer Engagement Team to match clients to vacancies, coordinate recruitment activities, and ensure job retention.
  • Lead on initiatives such as Employer Host Days, Job Interview Guarantees, and targeted recruitment campaigns.
  • Collaborate across services and partners to deliver a seamless, city-wide employment offer.
